Rheem RAPM Prestige Series® 14.5 SEER Premium Condensing Unit Featuring R-410A Refrigerant

The Rheem Classic® Series High Efficiency RAPM- Condensing Units were designed with performance in mind. These units offer comfort, energy conservation and dependability for single, multi-family and light commercial applications.

These units also contain the most advanced alternate refrigerant which contains no chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), or hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs), or other compounds that may leak from air-conditioning systems and potentially harm the protective ozone layer of the Earth’s atmosphere.

The Rheem Classic® Series RAPM- Condensing Units are the result of an ongoing development program for improved efficiencies. These units are flexible enough to achieve up to 16.00 SEER in specific match-ups, continuing a tradition of high efficiency

Rheem RANL Classic Series "IS" ENERGY STAR® QualifiedR410A R410A

When you buy an ENERGY STAR labeled air conditioner or heat pump from Rheem, you are acquiring a product that is in the top 25% for efficiency. Depending on the age of your existing equipment, you can save from 15%-40% on your utility bills by choosing an ENERGY STAR® qualified product from Rheem.

Tranquility of Quiet Operation

Air is discharged through a unique grille pattern located on top of the unit, and is directed upward and away from bushes and shrubs. This discharge pattern allows for quite fan operation and low noise levels, which you and your neighbors will appreciate.

PRESSURE CONTROLS

Rheem installs high and low pressure controls on high-efficiency models (options on standard-efficiency models) to protect the scroll compressor from pressure extremes.

Scroll Compressor

The most expensive component of any condensing unit is the compressor. Rheem installs Copeland Compliant Scroll® Compressors throughout its entire residential air conditioning line for proven dependability, efficiency, and sound reduction.

WRAPAROUND CABINET

Rheem air conditioning units are constructed with a powder-coat paint finish and galvanized steel cabinet to protect the condensing coil fins from yard hazards, extreme weather, and corrosion.

OUTDOOR COIL

Rheem air conditioning units use an innovative wraparound outdoor coil constructed of copper tubing and aluminum fins. This design allows improved airflow transfer and helps reduce energy consumption.

Features

  • Quiet Scroll Compressor
  • RAPM model features Earth-friendly R-410A refrigerant.
  • Pre-charged 410A refrigerant (up to 15' of copper tubing)
  • U.L. listed / Certified and rated under ARI Standard 210
  • Painted louvered steel cabinet
  • Easily accessible control box
  • Grille/motor mounts for quiet fan operation.
  • Powder-coat paint finish protects the condensing coil fins from hazards, extreme weather, and corrosion.
  • Single speed 8-pole fan motor designed for low speed, quiet, energy-saving operation.
  • Condenser coils constructed with copper tubing and Enhanced aluminum fins.
  • Sturdy one-piece drawn and painted base pan to elevate the coil of the pad, helping minize corrosion while reducing sound and vibration.
  • Air is discharged upward away from bushes and shrubs. The discharge pattern of the top grille provides minimum air restriction.
  • All controls are accessible by removing one service panel. Removable top grille provides access to the condenser fan motor and condenser coil.
  • All models meet or exceed a 1000-hour salt spray test per ASTM B117 Standard Practice for Operating Salt Spray Testing Apparatus.
  • Combination Grille/Motor Mount secures the motor to the underside of the discharge grille. The grille protects the motor windings and bearings from rain and snow.
  • Attractive, louvered wrap-around jacket protects the coil from yard hazards and weather extremes. Top grille is steel reinforced for extra strength. Cabinet is powder painted for all-weather protection.

Note:

Proper sizing and installation of equipment is critical to achieve optimal performance. Split system air conditioners and heat pumps must be matched with appropriate coil components to meet ENERGY STAR criteria.

Our suggestions The contractor should spend significant time inspecting your current system and home to assess your needs. A bigger system isn't always better; a contractor should size the heating and cooling system based on the size of your house, level of insulation, and windows. A good contractor will inspect your duct system (if applicable) for air leaks and insulation and measure airflow to make sure it meets manufacturers specifications. When comparing contractors' proposals (bids), be sure to compare cost, energy efficiency and warranties. A lowest price may not be the best deal if it's not the most efficient because your energy costs will be higher.

How a Central Air AC Works?

A traditional home comfort system has two parts: an indoor unit, such as a furnace or air handler, and an outdoor unit. An air conditioner is the outdoor unit that cools air and sends it to the indoor unit for circulation through your home. Indoor and outdoor units are designed to work together. When the air conditioner is properly matched with a furnace or air handler, you get maximum efficiency and longer system life. Air conditioning and cooling efficiency is measured using a Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER). A higher SEER means higher energy efficiency. The latest standard for SEER is 13 (beginning January 2006).

How a Central AC Works

Benefits

* Indoor comfort during warm weather - Central air conditioning helps keep your home cool and reduces humidity levels.

* As your central air conditioning system draws air out of various rooms in the house through return air ducts, the air is pulled through an air filter, which removes airborne particles such as dust and lint. Sophisticated filters may remove microscopic pollutants, as well. The filtered air is then routed to air supply duct work that carries it back to rooms.

* Because the compressor bearing unit is located outside the home, the indoor noise level from its operation is much lower than that of a free-standing air conditioning unit.
