The Goodman® GSZ13 uses the environmentally friendly refrigerant R-410A and features operating sound levels that are among the best in the heating and cooling industry. R-410A is chlorine-free to help prevent damage to the ozone layer. With its 13 SEER rating, the GSZ13 will help reduce energy consumption throughout the life of the system.
This heat pump is part of a complete system which requires an indoor air handler. If you are just looking to replace your old unit with a high efficiency heat pump, then this is for you. The heat pump is designed to be used in ground-level or rooftop mount. This heat pump comes precharged and ready to install for up to 15 to 20 feet of refrigerant or R410A. If you require a longer distance from your outdoor unit to the indoor air handler, then most likely you will have to hire an EPA certified technician to handle the refrigerant.
This reliable heat pump system will deliver years of comfort to your home and to your heating and cooling budget. The attractive powder-paint finish offers premium durability and improved UV protection to the exterior chassis. In particular, your Goodman 13 SEER Energy-Efficient Heat Pump, with heating efficiencies of 7.7 HSPF or higher, will provide you with reliable cooling and heating at moneysaving energy efficiency levels. You can count on your Goodman 13 SEER Energy-Efficient Heat Pump to keep you cool on even the hottest summer days. Your Goodman heat pump starts with a high-performance, energy-efficient compressor, which operates in tandem with our high efficiency coil. The coil is made of rifled refrigeration-grade copper tubing and corrugated aluminum fins in a design that maximizes surface area. These high-quality components together heat and cool your home effectively while saving you money on your energy bills!

| Documents | How a Central Air AC Works?A traditional home comfort system has two parts: an indoor unit, such as a furnace or air handler, and an outdoor unit. An air conditioner is the outdoor unit that cools air and sends it to the indoor unit for circulation through your home. Indoor and outdoor units are designed to work together. When the air conditioner is properly matched with a furnace or air handler, you get maximum efficiency and longer system life. Air conditioning and cooling efficiency is measured using a Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER). A higher SEER means higher energy efficiency. The latest standard for SEER is 13 (beginning January 2006).
Benefits* Indoor comfort during warm weather - Central air conditioning helps keep your home cool and reduces humidity levels.
* As your central air conditioning system draws air out of various rooms in the house through return air ducts, the air is pulled through an air filter, which removes airborne particles such as dust and lint. Sophisticated filters may remove microscopic pollutants, as well. The filtered air is then routed to air supply duct work that carries it back to rooms. * Because the compressor bearing unit is located outside the home, the indoor noise level from its operation is much lower than that of a free-standing air conditioning unit. |
